                        Watering Your Grass

The best time to water your grass is in the morning, and there are a few reasons why. The first one being so that it has more time to dry throughout the day. A wet lawn at night can lead to fungus and other disease problems. Another great reason is it is cooler in the morning so you have less evaporation, meaning it won’t take as much water and could help save money on your water bill!

Remember your lawn needs about 1-1.5 inches of water weekly. Having an in-ground irrigation system is the best choice, it is the most efficient way to guarantee your lawn is getting the proper amount to drink. Specialized drip irrigation systems target the plants roots, which causes surrounding weed seeds to not be able to germinate, so you’ll have less weeding to do! Of course there are other options as well, such as hand-watering or sprinkler systems. There are many benefits to keeping your yard healthy and beautiful, but remember, it doesn’t happen by itself!
